VSA Apprenticeships at AFI-Discovery Channel SILVERDOCS Documentary Festival seeking Emerging U.S. and International Filmmakers

What and When: International Documentary Conference from June 22-27, 2010

What you need to know:

Selected VSA apprentices will have travel and accommodations covered by VSA and AFI, and receive mentoring by AFI Silver's Education Coordinator Matt Boratenski.

The VSA apprenticeship in collaboration with AFI-Discovery Channel and SILVERDOCS is a golden opportunity for an emerging film-maker to get in on the ground floor with an established festival, network with those working in the field, get first class training in documentary film-making and be first in line to move on to the next level.  In short, simply being there puts you at an advantage over other film-makers.

Attendance at the entire conference is required. The official language for the conference is English and if necessary, accommodations will be made for American Sign Language. In order to fully participate, applicants must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently.
